| Arvie L. Jones, age 77, of Pierz, MN, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd, MN surrounded by her family.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Faith Community Church in Pierz, MN.
A private interment will be held at a later date.
Arvie Lorinda Anderson was born on April 7, 1933 in Foldahl, Minnesota to the late Henning G. and Albertha J. Anderson. She was united in marriage to Russell Milton Jones on September 14, 1954 in Pine City, MN. The couple later divorced. She worked in janitorial services at the Pillsbury Center in Minneapolis for a number of years. Following her retirement in 1995, she moved to Pierz where she resided at the time of her death. Arvie enjoyed gardening, painting, making calendars for her family, reading and setting puzzles. She attended Faith Community Church in Pierz for many years.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Linda (Boe) Bauman of Richmond, KY, Robbin Colbens of Tilley Alberta Canada, Michael Jones of Harvey, MN, Barb Nawara of Sandstone, MN, Carol (John) Baker of Onamia, MN; daughter-in-law, Sue Jones of Dayton, MN; siblings Ervin (Eleanor) Anderson of Pierz, MN, Adele Anderson of Minneapolis, MN and Earlene Krogh of Argyle, MN; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henning and Albertha; brothers, Ronald and Leroy Anderson and sisters, Eileen Vorman and Doreen Melo.
