Fern Post, 82 year old resident of Little Falls died Tuesday, January 23 at St. Otto’s Care Center in Little Falls.A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 27 at 11:30 A.M. at St. Otto’s Care Center Chapel. A visitation will be held from 10:30 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. on Saturday at St. Otto’s Care Center Chapel.
Fern C. Post was born on March 14, 1935 in Pike Creek Township Morrison County, Minnesota to the late Elmer and Margaret (Leikvoll) Broberg. She attended school in Little Falls graduating with the class of 1954. She was united in marriage to Willard Post on June 18, 1954 in Little Falls. The couple later divorced. Fern worked various jobs throughout her life: Bamboo Restaurant, Royal Café and operated a day care out of her home for many years. She enjoyed sewing, arts and craft, embroidery and riding her bike, playing cards, shaking dice and card bingo. Fern was a faithful member of First Lutheran Church in Little Falls and volunteered often at the church.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Richard (Jeanine) Post of Bloomington, Robin (Jay) Carlson of Republic, MO, Rebecca ( Paul Supan) Post of Sartell, Randy (Sherri) Post of Little Falls, Roxanne (Richard) Erhardt of Rosemount, Renaye (Danny) McDougall of Royalton and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Marge Houhins and a grandson, Andrew McDougall.
