Steve is a 1987 graduate of the University of Minnesota where he
received a B.S. in Mortuary Science. He served his internship in Little Falls, MN and worked
as a funeral director in Sauk Centre, Melrose, and
Morris, MN. In September of 1988, Steve and his wife, Lynette (Nettie) moved their family to
Little Falls, MN where he was co-owner of the Shelley Funeral Chapel until August of 2005.
During this time, Steve served the communities of Little Falls, Pierz, Swanville, Upsala
and all of Morrison County.
On August 1, 2006, Steve and Nettie purchased the Brenny Funeral
Homes in Little Falls, Pierz, Royalton and Upsala, MN changing the names to Emblom Funeral Service
dba Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service.
Steve is a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Little Falls,
Little Falls Rotary Club, Minnesota Funeral Directors Association, National Funeral Directors
Association, Board of Director of the Minnesota Foundation For Children – “Camp Amanda Minnesota”,
member of the National Foundation of Mortuary Care, State of Minnesota Mass Fatalities Incident
Response Team and in 1992, was awarded the Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP)
designation by the Academy of Professional Funeral Practice.
Lynette “Nettie” is a graduate of the Alexandria Area Technical College. She has volunteered her time with St. Cloud National Marriage Encounter, Central Minnesota TEC, Central Minnesota Koinonia, St. Gabriel’s Hospital and St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Little Falls, where she is currently a song leader. Nettie is an integral part of the daily operations of the funeral homes.
Steve and Nettie have three grown children, Christopher, Dustin and Kayla.

Richard J. Brenny
Licensed Funeral Director
Rich is a 1968 graduate of the University of Minnesota where he received a B.A. in Mortuary Science. He worked for his father, Clem, in the funeral service and later purchased the funeral home with his wife, Sally. They owned Brenny Funeral Homes until August of 2006, when they sold to Stephen & Lynette Emblom.
Rich is a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls where he serves as a trustee and member of the church council, a member of the Little Falls Exchange Club and Knights of Columbus, both 3rd and 4th degree.
Rich and Sally have 3 children, Carolyn (Eric) Thomes, Mike (Gen) Brenny, Katie Brenny and 5 beautiful grandchildren.

Doyle Hofer
Licensed Funeral Director
Doyle is a native of South Dakota where he grew up on a farm. He received a B.S. Degree from Northwestern College in St. Paul in 1985. He worked as an accountant in a Minneapolis law firm until 1995. He then enrolled in the Mortuary Science program at the University of Minnesota and graduated with a B.S. Degree in Mortuary Science in 1996. He worked as a funeral director in Morrison County until 2003 when he moved to Hawaii to work in the mortgage industry. He returned to funeral service in Buffalo, MN, in November, 2004. Doyle joined the staff of the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in August, 2006. Doyle resides in Little Falls, MN.

Trent Iverson
Licensed Funeral Director
Trent was born in Willmar, MN. He graduated from Willmar High School in 1991.
He attended Willmar Community College, University of Minnesota and received his diploma in mortuary
science from Worsham College in Wheeling, IL in September 1996. Trent and his wife, Jill, moved to
Little Falls, MN in September 1996. Trent worked at the Shelley Funeral Chapel from September 1996
until October 2006, when he joined Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service. Trent is active in the community
serving as a “Lindy Greeter” for the Little Falls Chamber of Commerce, Son’s of American Legion,
Little Falls Airport Commission and helping as a youth coach at Living Hope Church in Little Falls
and Rice, MN. In his free time he enjoys officiating sporting events for local schools. Jill currently
works at First Avenue Dental in Little Falls, where she has been employed since October 1999. Trent
and Jill attend Living Hope Church in Little Falls and Rice, MN. In their free time the couple enjoys
camping, attending sporting events and spending time with their friends in the community.

Cheryce Rudolph
Licensed Funeral Director
Cheryce Rudolph joined the staff of Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in May of 2007. She grew up in Little Falls and graduated from Little Falls High School in 1996. She is a 2001 graduate of the University of Minnesota, College of Mortuary Science. She worked as a funeral director at Patton-Schad Funeral Service in Sauk Centre and Melrose from 2001 to 2004 and at Shelley Funeral Chapels in Little Falls from March of 2004 to April of 2007. Cheryce and her husband, Chris, reside in Little Falls and attend First Lutheran Church. She enjoys gardening, fishing, golfing, traveling and spending time with her husband, family and friends.
