Betty Bayerl, 89 year old resident of Little Falls formerly of Pierz died Sunday, August 12 at the Little Falls Care Center in Little Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 21 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Pierz with Father Gerald Dalseth officiating. The burial will be held in the parish cemetery. A visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 A.M. at the church on Tuesday. The Christian Mothers will pray the Rosary at 9:30 A.M.
Betty Jane Anderson was born April 1, 1929 in Milaca, MN to Chester and Minnie (Tingblad) Anderson. She grew up and attended school in Milaca graduating with the class of 1947. After high school she worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company for five years. Betty was united in marriage to Robert Bayerl on August 12, 1952 in Foreston, MN. The couple made their home in Milaca and Little Falls. They moved to Pierz in 1954 where she resided until her recent move to Little Falls Care Center in Little Falls. Her family will remember her for her positive attitude, sense of humor and generous ways. Betty enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, embroidery work, quilting, sewing and knitting. She was a faithful member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and Christian Mothers.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Timothy (Marilyn) Bayerl of Alexandria, Mary (Bill) Houck of Rogers, Pat (Richard) Stumpf of Custer, SD, Cindy Casillas(Tom Dukowitz) of Swanville, Sara (Kevin) Schaefer of San Jose, CA, Sandra Bayerl of Sauk Rapids; 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Minnie Anderson; husband, Robert Bayerl in 2000 and two infant sons.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to CHI Hospice, Little Falls Minnesota.
