Janice was born on August 4, 1951 to Morell and Beatrice (Olson) Wisted in Detroit Lakes. After high school Jan attended college at Moorhead State University earning her Bachelor Degree in Economics. On June 28th, 1980, she married the love of her life, Jeff Hartmann. After retirement, Jan was a very active member of the Holy Family Catholic Church where she was involved with the retreat center, was a member of the St. Elizabeth Council, took part in church committees, and was a staple in the church choir. Jan was an avid reader of books and the daily paper, loved to travel, hike, golf, and participate in biking tours.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 38 years, Jeff of Hillman; daughter, Lucy (Ryan) Van Dell of Gilbert, AZ; grandsons, Ryder and Wheeler; brothers, Bruce (Gail) of Detroit Lakes, Ron of Detroit Lakes; and many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Morell and Beatrice Wisted; and brother, Craig.
