Richele “Ricki” C. Tufte, age 67, of Pierz passed away suddenly at her home on Friday, June 22, 2018. Memorial services will be held Sunday, July 1st, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Birch Bend Camp Ground near Harding and Saturday, July 21st, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at the Dunning Field Community Center in Lex/Ham/Midway area of St. Paul.
Ricki was born May 3, 1951 to Richard and Shirley (Quessi) Tufte in Chicago, IL. After high school, she earned her Bachelor Degree from the University of Minnesota and later received her Graduate Degree from the University of St. Thomas. Ricki worked as a Probation officer in Ramsey County for most of her life before her retirement. She married Gary Eull on October 3rd, 2006. Ricki was a Certified Captain and traveled around the globe and was lovingly referred to as the “best sail boat Captain of all time” from her husband, Gary. The couple created many memories sailing and traveling to Europe, Thailand, Caribbean and Mexico. Ricki also enjoyed playing cards and dice but most of all she loved her family especially, her step grandchildren Berkley, Emma and Sawyer.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Gary of Pierz; step sons, Matthew (Rachel) of Missoula, Mo., Michael (Jenny) of Northeast Minneapolis, Andrew (Fiance, Jamie Woycheks) of St. Louis Park; brother, Robert Tufte of Rogers; step grandchildren, Berkley, Emma, Sawyer; and four very special friends, Kathy Kroska and Steve Freeman both of St. Paul, Wayne and Phyllis Olson of Bloomington.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Bill Tufte.
