Shirley Louise Preimesberger, 96-year old resident of Little Falls, MN passed away peacefully on the morning of August 30 at Highland Senior Living in Little Falls. A private graveside service will be held at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls.
Shirley Louise Blake was born on January 27, 1923 to the late William and Eva (Johnson) Blake. She attended school in Little Falls and graduated with the class of 1941. Shirley was united in marriage to Al Preimesberger in March of 1942. They resided in Davenport, IA in their younger years. She was a homemaker, raised three children and started her own home business. The couple later moved to the Minneapolis suburbs and after retirement they moved to their new home on Sullivan Lake. Shirley enjoyed walking, gardening, fishing, feeding the birds, enjoying nature, looking for agates. She treasured being a grandma she was always happy to see her grandkids.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Michael Preimesberger of Lake Forest, CA, Marie Preimesberger of Edwardsville, IL and Ann (Jim) Otremba of Pierz, MN; brother, Jim (Alice) Blake of Elk River, MN; sister, Tally of Chaska, MN; grandchildren, Jennifer (Robert) Timpe of Grafton, IL, Nathan (Melissa) Jensen of Hillsboro, OR, Stephanie (John) Firebaugh of San Francisco, CA, Jason Gross of Pierz, MN, Christopher (Fawn) Gross of St. Cloud, MN, Theresa (Tyson) Reel of Petersburg, WV and Gabriel (Nicole) Gross of Pierz, MN; 13 great-grandchildren and one Step-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Al Preimesberger; parents, William and Eva Blake; brother, Robert Blake; granddaughter, Jenna Gross.
We are respecting mom’s wishes as she did not want a funeral. There will only be a small private graveside gathering attended by close family.
