Albert "Al" Bauman

On Monday, March 11, 2019 loving husband, father and grandfather Al Bauman, passed away at the age of 83, at St. Gabriels Hospital in Little Falls. A Celebration of Als life will be held on Saturday, March 23 at 11:00 A.M. at Faith Lutheran Church in Little Falls. A visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Friday evening at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service and from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of the service on Saturday at the church.

Al was born on March 30, 1935 in North Dakota to Alvin and Alvina Bauman. He received his Bachelor of Science degree at Dickinson State University and did graduate work at North Dakota State University and St. Cloud State University. He taught math and coached for 10 years in Washburn, Hettinger and Bottineau, North Dakota, and 26 years in Little Falls. On August 20, 1960, he married the love of his life Susan Alice Grendahl and they raised 2 sons, Michael and Thomas. Al was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church in Little Falls serving as a council member, as leader of a team developing the columbarium, Meals on Wheels volunteer and part of the Kitchen Crew. Al enjoyed traveling, fishing, golfing, gardening and high school and college sports. Most of all he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and his wife, Susan. He was also a member of the Little Falls Golf Course where he served in many ways to raise funds to help support, maintain and upgrade the course as needed.

Al is survived by his wife, Susan; sons, Michael (Marci) Bauman of Monticello, Thomas (Julie) Bauman of Buffalo, MN; grandchildren, William, BoThomas, Michaela and Bradyand many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Al was known for his always friendly demeanor and his kind and compassionate spirit. He would ask that you cherish and rely on Gods promises, spend quality time with your children, grandchildren and treasure your enduring friendships.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Faith Lutheran Church, Little Falls Country Club Golf Extravaganza Al Bauman Memorial or the Little Falls Community Schools.
