Alma F. Glantz

Alma F. Glantz, age 84 of Little Falls, MN passed away, Thursday, October 4, 2007 at St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, October 6, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Belle Prairie, MN. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00-8:00PM Friday at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service (East Chapel) in Little Falls and Saturday from 9:00-10:00 A.M. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Belle Prairie Parish Prayers will be said at 6:00 P.M. Friday evening at the funeral chapel. St. Anne's Christian Mothers will pray a rosary Saturday morning at 9:15 A.M. at Holy Family Catholic Church. Alma F. Glantz was born November 12, 1922 in Melrose, Stearns County, MN to the late George and Rose (Kemper) Thieschafer. She grew up in the Burtrum, MN area where she attended and graduated from Burtrum High School. Following her schooling, Alma worked as a seamstress at Munsingwear in Little Falls, MN. She was united in marriage to Howard V. Glantz on October 17, 1945 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls. Alma and Howard lived and farmed near Upsala, MN and in 1959, moved to the Freedhem, MN area where they farmed for 40 years. Howard died April 10, 2004. Alma continued to live on the farm until March of 2005 when she moved to the City of Little Falls. She became a resident of St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls on April 9, 2007 residing there until her death. Alma loved farming with her husband, Howard, and while farming she enjoyed working with her laying chickens and collecting the eggs, playing cards, reading, working puzzles and watching T.V. games shows. Her rosary was a very important part of her life and she was very close with her family of two brothers and eight sisters. Alma is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Kurowski & husband, Mel, of Little Falls, MN, Jean Weinberger & husband, Marv, of Little Falls and Debbie Keehr & husband Steve, of Pierz, MN; brother, Robert Thieschafer & wife, Jen, of Sauk Centre, MN; sisters, Frances Diehl & husband, Paul, of Burtrum, MN, Loretta Schuett, & Delores Lehrke both of Little Falls, MN; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; parents; brother, Raymond Thieschafer; sisters, Marie Dusek, Leona Kruzel, Lorraine Schuett and Adella Marthaler. Casketbearers are Jeff Kurowski, Michael Kurowski, Paul Weinberger, Lynn Whitlock, Kristie Weinberger, Eric Keehr, Bryan Keehr and Katera Nieman.
