Alphonse "Phonse" Janski, 94 year old resident of Royalton, MN passed away on December 9, 2007 at his home in Royalton, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton, MN with Father Laurn Virnig officiating. Interment will be held at Holy Trinity Parish Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 P.M. Tuesday, December 11, 2007 and from 12- 1 PM on Wednesday, December 12th at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton. Christian Mother's will pray the rosary at 4:30 P.M. followed by parish prayers at 7 P.M. Tuesday evening at the church. Alphonse Anthony Janski was born on October 2, 1913 in Rice, Minnesota to the late Frank and Hattie Mae (McNeal) Janski. He was united in marriage to Evelyn Borash on June 20, 1939 in North Prairie, Minnesota. They lived in Rice and later moved to Royalton in 1952 where he owned a hardware store, farmed and drove milk truck for the Royalton Creamery. Alphonse was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton and a Gold Star Parent. He enjoyed fishing, telling stories and reminiscing with his family and friends. Alphonse is survived by his sons, Robert (RuthAnn) Janski of Rice, MN, Ralph (Linda) Janski of Sartell, MN, Donald Janski of Royalton, MN and Edward (Mary Lou) Janski of Royalton, MN; daughters, Doreen (Tom) Harrington of Little Canada, MN and Jeanie (Jack) Morgan of Little Falls, MN; brother, Lorenzo Janski of Rice, MN; sisters, Evelyn Pelarski of Long Prairie, MN, Edna Ebnet of Aitkin, MN, Ethel Feia of St. Cloud, MN, Effie Zabinski of St. Cloud, MN and Margie Waldoch of Burnsville, MN; son-in-law, Mike Fluharty of Wheatland, WY and daughter-in-law, Carol (Greg) Cliff of Blue River, WI; 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Janski (June 6, 1992); parents, Frank and Hattie Mae Janski; son, Richard Janski (Vietnam 1967); daughter, Marlys Fluharty (2007); brothers, Harry, Delmar, Marurice and Norbert Janski; sisters, Sr. Jeanice Janski, OSB and Irene Kroll. Serving as casketbearers are Jamie Janski, Jacob Janski, Jason Janski, Steve Herold, Todd Harrington and Tom Harrington.
