Audrey A. Veith, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, age 71, of Royalton, MN passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at her residence after a short battle with cancer. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 6, 2006 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Buckman, MN with Fr. Gerald Dalseth officiating. Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 5, 2006 at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz. Christian Mothers prayers will be at 4:30 p.m. followed by Parish Prayers at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will also be from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Audrey was born on March 20, 1935 in Detroit, MI to Cecil & Florence "Dorothy" (Hogan) Cameron. She attended school at the Redford, Michigan High School. On October 22, 1955, Audrey was united in marriage to Edward "Ed" Veith in Detroit, Michigan. The two moved to Buckman, Minnesota, where they resided for two years until Ed enrolled in school which brought the couple to Minneapolis, MN for two years and then back to Buckman. Audrey worked 13 years at the Mille Lacs Grand Casino as assistant supervisor of housekeeping where she retired in 2004. Prior to working at the Grand Casino, Audrey was also employed at Munsingwear, Sev's Bar, Old Bank Cafe, and the Little Falls Golf Course. Audrey enjoyed playing bingo, gambling, traveling (especially Las Vegas) and loved being with her family and friends. Audrey is survived by her husband, Edward "Ed" Veith of Royalton, MN; daughters, Laura (Gene) Reyes of Blaine, MN; Natalie (Jim) Gritzmacher of Pierz, MN; Deborah Funk (Rick Heisick) of Rice, MN; Lisa (Andrew) Leisenheimer of Byron, MN; siblings, Marilynn Murray of New Smyrna Beach, FL; Gary (MaryLou) Cameron of San Jose, CA; Colleen (Bob) O'Brien of Toledo, OH; 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil & Florence "Dorothy" Cameron and her brother, Michael Cameron. Casket Bearers will be Rick Herold, Andrew Herold, Mick Herold, Tony Funk, Jeremy Leisenheimer, Nicholas Leisenheimer and Calvin Leisenheimer. Honorary Bearers will be Phyllis Hoskins, Marcie Kloss, MaryAnn Dwyer, Helen Reger, Granddaughters and Great-Granddaughters.
