Barbara A. Storkamp

Barbara Storkamp, 66 year old resident of the West Buckman area died Thursday, May 10th at her home with her family by her side. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 15th at 10:30 A.M. at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Buckman with Father Kenneth Popp officiating. The burial will be held in the parish cemetery. A visitation will be held on Monday, May 14th from 4:00-8:00 P.M. and from 9:00-10:30 A.M. On Tuesday, May 15th all visitation times will be held at the church.

Barbara Ann (Dehler) Storkamp was the fourth of 13 children born to Roman and Emily Dehler, the family lived just south west of Buckman. Barbara attended elementary school in Buckman and graduated in 1970 from Pierz Healy High School (The first graduating class of Pierz Healy High). After graduation she moved to New York to nanny for a relative and attend college there for Data Processing. She completed her schooling and returned back home to Minnesota where she met her loving husband, Scott Storkamp. The couple was united in marriage on May 5, 1972 in Minneapolis where the couple lived for three years. Barbara and Scott moved to West Buckman where they have resided for more than 40 years. She raised their children, worked at the Pierz Villa and helped her husband on the familys tree farm. Barbara was a very loving, caring, wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Her husband, children and three grandchildren were her world, she loved every minute with every one of them. Barbara was a very Strong person whom many looked up to. She will also be remembered for her love of baking, she made the worlds best lasagna and wild rice hot dish.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Scott Storkamp; children, Adam (Kayla) Storkamp, Apryl (Frank) Hoheisel; grandchildren, Allie Storkamp, Samantha Hoheisel and Robyn Hoheisel; siblings, Tom (Luann) Dehler, Gary (Colleen) Dehler, Joe (Lori) Dehler, Peter (Barb) Dehler, Catherine (Ron) Lyon, Delphine (Bryan) Hoheisel, Pat (Bonnie) Dehler, Elizabeth (Mark) Trutwin, Faye (Randy) Boser, Mike (Susie) Dehler George (Becky) Dehler and Henry Struffert and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roman and Emily Dehler; sister, Alice; sister-in-law, Suzette; nephews Griff and Toby, and a niece Tammi.
