Brent Wacker, 49 year old resident of St. Cloud, passed away on Friday, March 27 at the St. Cloud Hospital as the result of a house fire. A Time of Gathering for friends and family will be held from 4:00 -7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 7th with a time for sharing at 6:00 P.M. at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz.
Brent was born on July 23, 1976 in Coon Rapids, Minnesota to Kenneth Wacker and Margaret (Brummer) Pomrenke. He attended high school at Nome Beltz High School in Nome, Alaska. He married the love of his life, Rosemary Tootkaylok on April 19, 2021 in Nome, AK. The couple made their home in St. Cloud.
Brent worked as a heavy equipment operator, gold mining in Alaska. He also worked various seasonal construction jobs. He enjoyed trail rides on his ATV’s, accessorizing his pickup trucks, fishing and especially loved taking rides in the Alaskan countryside with his boys. He loved his boys unconditionally and only wanted the best for them.
Brent Wacker found his calling in the driver’s seat of a front-end loader. Whether he was clearing land, digging foundations, loading trucks or handling demanding projects, he treated every job site as his office. He loved the smell of diesel in the morning and the satisfaction of a hard day's work. Brent was more than just an operator; he was a master craftsman of the earth who could operate a front-end loader better than anyone else.
Brent is survived by his wife, Rosemary; sons, Bradley (Evermae) Downey, Joshua Contreras, Duke Wacker, Decker Wacker; siblings, Dustan B. ( Meying Huang) Wacker, Shawn Pomrenke, Erick Pomrenke, Nicole Pomrenke; grandchildren, Avamae Downey, Prince Downey and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Wacker and mother, Margaret Pomrenke.
