Clemens John Poser Clemens (Clem) John Poser, 87, of Pierz, died December 13, 2006 at his home. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2006 from 4 - 8 p.m., and Monday, December 18, 2006 from 9 - 10 a.m. at Embolm-Brenny Funeral Chapel followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz with Father Gerald Dalseth presiding. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Clem was born on August 18, 1919 to Lawrence and Mary (Loidolt) Poser. He was united in marriage to Alvina Hoffman on September 30, 1944. He farmed the family farm two miles west of Pierz from 1944 until 1981 when he moved to Pierz. He started a hobby of woodworking and made many beautiful things until his wife passed away in 1998. He loved fishing, hunting, growing the biggest pumpkins and playing cards with his friends and family. He also loved baseball and was a Twins fan. He was an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus, member of St. Joseph's Parish, and served on the Pierz Co-op and Agram Township boards. Clem was President of the Pierz Senior Center for many years and was named outstanding Senior Citizen of Morrison County in 1998. Clem is survived by his seven children, Sylvia (Wallie) Barrett of Baxter, Wanda (Arlin) Lundblad of Pierz, Valerie (Gary) Matlock of Pierz, Katherine (Mark) Otremba of Pierz, Anthony (Peg) Poser of Richfield, Marianne Poser of Brainerd, Lerald (Chell) Poser of New Richmond, WI; 19 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters Angie Poser of Pierz and Rita Paulson of Pierz. He was preceded in death by his wife Alvina on November 6, 1998; his parents Lawrence and Mary Poser; brothers Leo, Philip, Edward and Victor; sisters Ida Graves and Stella Rauch and his grandson Galen Matlock.
