Delmar D. Branchaud, 99 year old resident of Little Falls, MN, passed away Friday, August 10, 2007 at the St. Otto's Care Center in Little Falls, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11A.M. Monday, August 13, 2007 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Belle Prairie, MN with Father Nicholas Landsberger officiating. Friends may call from 5:00-7:00 PM on Sunday, August 12th at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service (West Chapel) in Little Falls, MN, with a parish prayer service at 6:30 PM. Visitation will continue on Monday at the church one half hour prior to the service. Interment with military rites by the Little Falls V.F.W. Post #1112 will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 14th at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls, MN. Delmar D. Branchaud was born on February 9, 1908 in Waubun, Minnesota to the late Meclias and Jane Eugenia (Bisson) Branchaud. He grew up in Ripley Township, Morrison County, Minnesota. Delmar enlisted in the United State Army on January 23, 1942 and was honorably discharged on November 17, 1945 after serving his country for three years during WWII in the Pacific Theater. After the war, he farmed with his father and mother until the time he retired. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Belle Prairie and a lifetime member of the Little Falls VFW Post # 1112. He is survived by nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Homer and Maynard (Joe) and sisters, Ella and Evelyn.
