Delroy John Winscher

Delroy John Winscher, 81-year-old resident of Buckman, MN, passed away Monday, December 4th at the Gardens in Foley.  A celebration of Delroy's life will be held on Friday, December 8th from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz, MN.

Roy was born on July 14th, 1942 in Buckman Township to the late Reinhold and Loretta (Swedziak) Winscher.  He was raised on a dairy farm near Buckman with his five siblings.  He attended District #1188 country school, which he always referred to as Little Rock Tech.  He was united in marriage to Karen Mae Kloss on October 4th, 1969 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Buckman.  In 1970, the couple purchased the family farm where Karen was raised and started a family of their own.  Roy enjoyed his life farming; growing crops, milking cows and raising beef cattle.  His love for animals was apparent to anyone who knew him.   Throughout the years he had raised many; including White Tailed deer, Fallow deer, Rocky Mountain Elk, Indian Blue and Indian Blue White peafowl, Ring-necked and Golden Pheasants, horses, pigs, chickens, ducks, geese and goats to name a few.  Roy also enjoyed visiting with neighbors and spending time with his young grandchildren.

Roy is survived by his children, Keith Winscher of Buckman, MN, Jeff Winscher of Buckman, MN, Curt (Peggy) Winscher of Pierz, MN and Robin Winscher (Todd Pohlkamp) of Buckman, MN; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; siblings, Rodney (Arlene) Winscher of Buckman, Mike (Kay) Winscher of Buckman, Muriel Jeanotte of Anoka, Melanie Winscher of Anoka; sister-in-law, Sharon Winscher of Little Falls.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Winscher; parents, Reinhold and Loretta Winscher; brother, Rick Winscher; father and mother-in-law, Leonard and Genevieve Kloss and brother-in-law, Ron Kloss.
