Denise Lee

Denise Marie Lee, 61, of Randall, MN, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024, at the St. Cloud Hospital.  

Visitation will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls. A memorial service will then begin at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Joe Crosswhite officiating.  

Denise was born to Donald and Irene (Gottwalt) McDougall in Minneapolis, MN, on October 17, 1962, the second of third children. She graduated from high school in the Twin Cities and welcomed three children into her life: Miranda, Justin, and Chad. On August 15, 2005, she married the love of her life, Robert Lee, and together they spent 20 years enjoying each other’s company. 

In 2019, the couple bought a small hobby farm with a large garden and Denise loved picking and shelling the peas they grew. She also loved doing cross stitch, reading crime and mystery novels, talking to her kids on the phone, and lake time at the cabin with family. She was a good cook, often trying new recipes that, when good enough for her liking, would go into her big recipe book. Denise was also an excellent baker and was known to make the best banana bread in Randall.

Denise was a spitfire with a kind heart. She loved the movies, “Eddie” and “Burlesque”; bands, “The Eagle’s”, “Prince”, and “KISS”; Diet Dr. Pepper; and her favorite dog and cat, Tilly and Moses. In the summer, she loved sitting and talking outside with Rob and decorating their yard with lawn gnomes.

Left to cherish Denise’s memory is her husband, Rob; children: Miranda (Paul Lindstrom) Belanger, Justin (Sabrinna) Belanger, and Chad Belanger; stepchildren: Jessica Lee, Jennifer (Rick) Andersen, and James Lee; six grandchildren; nephew, Tim (Michelle) McDougall; niece, Jessie McDougall; and sister-in-law, DeeDee McDougall.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her brother, Greg McDougall; and her sister, Brenda McDougall.
