Eileen D. Cramer

Eileen Cramer, daughterof Ralph Chester and Jennie Mae (Dailey) Dixon was born September 3, 1918 and passed away at the home of her daughter Bonnie Fox in Rice, MN on May 26 2018 at the age of 99, with all of her children by her side the last 2 weeks.

Eileen grew up northwest of Almena attending the country schools there and graduating in 1936 from Almena Rural High School where at the time of her death she was the oldest Alumnus. She was united in marriage to Leo Alvin Cramer on May 18, 1940 in Almena, Kansas. They made their home in the area for 66 years until his death in October 2006. In addition to making a home for Leo and their 4 children Eileen taught school, worked as a Psychiatric Aide and in the Almena school lunch program.

Eileen was a member of the Almena Methodist Church and together with Leo loved to camp and fish and produce a flower and vegetable garden as long as their health allowed.

Eileen is survived by her four children Judy and Ed Whitney of Grand Rapids, MN; Bonnie Fox of Rice, MN; Ron and Ellen Cramer of Fallbrook, CA; and Patty and Dan Englert of Belton, Mo.

Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 21 great gran dchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Leo, Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, one granddaughter, two brothers Loren Dixon and Donald Dixon, 3 sisters Ruby Jarvis, Geneva Altman, and Margaret Underwood.
