Elmer Hanson

Hanson, Elmer L., 83, retired government postal worker and Rental Ranch small engine repairman, was called to his eternal rest Sept. 12, 2006. Service 10 a.m. Friday, Resthaven Mortuary. He was a lifetime member of American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, V.F.W. and Motorcycle Association of America. Survivors: son, Michael and wife, Jan Hanson of Wichita; daughters, Marjorie Elshoff of Wichita, Mary Yorks of Renton, Wash., Maureen and husband, Vern Batemon of Wichita; stepdaughter, Beverly Maxwell; brother, Harry Hanson of Minn.; sisters, Stella Sorbo, Annie Henry, Helen Larson all of Minn.; 20 grandchildren and he was Big Papa to 25 great-grandchildren. Memorial established with V.F.W. Memorial Post 3115. A graveside service will be held at 9:30 A.M. Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at Holy Cross Cemetery in Harding, MN.
