Francis Frank Klisch

Francis Frank Klisch, 83 year old resident of Royalton, MN died Sunday, August 6, 2017 at his home with his loving family by his side. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 10 at 11:00 A.M. with Fr. Roger Klassen and Fr. Laurn Virnig officiating. The burial will be in the parish cemetery. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 9 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. and from 9:30-11:00 A.M. on Thursday all at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Royalton. The Knights of Columbus will pray at 7:00 P.M. followed by parish prayer at 8:00PM on Wednesdayevening and a rosary will be said at 4:30 PM on Wednesday and at 9:45 AM on Thursday at the church.

Francis Frank Klisch was born on October 4, 1933 in Bowlus to the late Roman and Katherine (Smieja) Klisch. He attended country school near Bowlus as young boy. After completing his schooling, he worked construction and on the iron ore boats in Duluth. He was united in marriage to Delores Kalis on November 24, 1955 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church in Bowlus. The couple made their home in Royalton for 57 years. Francis worked construction for over 50 years in the Twin Cities and he would drive to and from work every day to make it home to his family. Frank also owned and operated his own saw mill business Royal Timbers for ten years. He enjoyed deer hunting, farming, field work and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Francis was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church serving as an usher for many years. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 61 years, Delores Klisch of Royalton; children, Steve (Jean) Klisch of Ramsey, Tom (Leticia) Klisch of Royalton, Tim (Cheryl) Klisch of Royalton, Dan (Sharon) Klisch of Clear Lake, Dennis (Kelly) Klisch of Royalton, Duane (Rebecca) Klisch of Royalton and Marie ( Gary) Opatz of Royalton; siblings, Joseph (Mary) Klisch of Bowlus, Marlene (Bob) Prokott of Columbia Heights, Doreen (Willard) Mackey of Ramsey and Mary (Mike) Mrosla of Coon Rapids; 30 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Roman and Katherine Klisch; son, Ralph Klisch; infant sibling, Donna Mae Klisch, Andrew Klisch and Valentine Raphael Klisch; siblings, Alphonse Klisch, Pat Alan Klisch, and Florence Bursey; two infant granddaughters, Angela and Lisa Klisch.
