Francis "Sonny" Heigl

Francis Sonny Heigl, age 70, of Brooklyn Center, MN formerly of Buckman, MN, passed away Friday, May 8, 2015, at the University of Minnesota Hospital.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 15, 2015 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Buckman, MN, with Fr. Kenneth Popp officiating.Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service.

Francis Sonny John Heigl was born on October 24, 1944, in Pierz Township, Morrison County, Minnesota to Raymond (Piehowski) Heigl.He grew up on a farm north of Buckman and attended grade school in Buckman and graduated from high school in Pierz.Following his schooling, he moved to the Twin Cities and began his 36 year career with Hobart Food Equipment.

Survived by his children, Perry (Tricia) Heigl of Otsego, MN, and Rhonda (Larry) Bade of Ohio; grandchildren, Sean Heigl and Ravyn Bade; sister, Karolyn Waninger of Lastrup, MN.

Sonny was preceded in death by his parents and son, Glenn Heigl.
