George E. Rush

July 9, 1959 — June 21, 2018

George E. Rush, 58 year old resident of Little Falls died Thursday, June 21 at St. Gabriels Hospital in Little Falls. A funeral service and visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 27 from 3:00-8:00 P.M. with a service at 7:00 P.M. at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service.

George E. Rush was born July 9, 1959 in Perham to Donald and Dorothy (Sonnenberg) Rush. When George was in sixth grade the family moved to Little Falls. George attended and graduated from Little Falls High School with the class of 1978. He married Dawn Jacobson in 1979 and the couple divorced in 1984. He enrolled at St. Cloud Vocational School and received his industrial welding diploma. He was united in marriage to Anne Wilczek on May 27, 1986 in Little Falls. After completing his schooling George worked for Jacobson MFG. While working at Metal Craft, he obtained his journeyman plumbers license. He worked for Home Furnace, Camp Ripley, Stillwater and Oak Park Heights prisons as a plumber and at Majestic Log Homes. George did maintenance and directed the recycling plant for Gorecki MFG in Milaca. His children remember agate picking, auctions and garage sales. Before they could even walk, George had them on pedal bikes, motorcycles, snowmobiles, four wheelers or anything with wheels. They remember dad spending many hours in his shop, welding, fixing and creating. George enjoyed hunting, bow fishing, archery, fishing, trapping, coon hunting, ice fishing, spearing, mechanics, welding and all things Harley Davidson. He never failed to come home with a treasure, good deal or unique find in the back of his truck!

George is survived by, Anne Rush; children, Mindy Rush-Chipman (Dave) and children, Heaven, Braeden, Cassidy and Rush, Gunner (Amanda) Rush and children, Skyler and Finn, Kathryn Katie (Oliver Reller) and son, Cooper Waldvogel, Elizabeth Ellie Eckman (Jordan); siblings, Ed Rush, Ron Rush (Jennifer), Steve Rush (Lori), Janell Posterick (Darwin); mother-in-law, Angee Wilczek; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rick Wilczek, Tom Wilczek (Patty), Rob Wilczek (Sandy) Paul Wilczek; Joel Wilczek (Tammi), Mary Smith (Jeff); sisters-in-law, Melissa Rush and Sharon Wilczek and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Benjamin Rush in 2007; parents, Donald and Dorothy Rush; brother, John Rush in 2016 and nephew, Lewis Wilczek.
