Harvey Fritz

Harvey Fritz, 77 year old resident of Randall, MN, passed away on Tuesday, October 18 at the St. Cloud Hospital.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, October 22 at 1:30 P.M. at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Randall, MN with Rev. Joe Crosswhite officiating. The burial will be held in St. Peters Lutheran Cemetery in Swanville, MN. A visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 P.M. on Friday, October 21 at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls and from 12:30-1:30 P.M. on Saturday at the church in Randall.

Harvey H. Fritz was born on November 15, 1938 in Parker Township Morrison County, Minnesota to the late Otto and Augusta (Beseman) Fritz. He attended country school in Parker Township. Harvey was united in marriage to Diane Miller on April 8, 1961 at Zion Lutheran Church in Little Falls. The couple made their home in Parker Township on the family farm. Harvey loved farming and being outside and he was a devoted John Deere man. He dairy farmed in Parker Township until 1998. In 1998, he became a beef producer and raised Black Angus. Harvey enjoyed the new life every spring on the farm with new calves. He also enjoyed the fall deer hunt and waited with excitement for the hunters to come from the woods to see what they got. Harvey was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was looking forward to his two new great-grandchildren in March and April. Harvey spent a lot of time playing cards with friends and family. Every time someone came over he would say, Lets get the cards out. Family fishing trips were another enjoyment of Harveys and the special times spent with his grandchildren. Harvey was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church in Randall and former member of the Dairy Heard Improvement Association.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Diane Fritz of Randall, MN; children, Carla (Keith) Wolff of Browerville, MN, Carrie (Bruce) LaMott of Silver Lake, MN and Michael Fritz of Randall, MN; grandchildren, Kyle Dalquist, Brady LaMott, Tyler LaMott, Christopher Fritz and Samantha Fritz; great-grandchildren, Riley LaMott and William Dalquist.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Augusta Fritz; sisters, Esther Fischer and Alice Steenberg; brothers, Melvin Fritz and Arnold Fritz.
