Helen Geyer Obituary
Helen Margaret Geyer, age 95, peacefully passed away on August 24th, 2026. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 3 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father Ben Kociemba officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 3 from 9:00-10:30 A.M. at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls. A Rosary will be said at 8:30 A.M. on Thursday at the funeral home all are welcomed to join in the Rosary. The burial will be held on Friday, September 4 at 10:00 A.M. at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls.
She was born January 14, 1931 in Plummer, Minnesota to Matthew and Anna (Diederich) Rausch. In 1934 she moved with her family to a farm near Thief River Falls, Minnesota. In 1942 the family moved to Collis, Minnesota. In 1949 Helen graduated from high school at St. Mary’s Academy in Graceville, Minnesota. On November 15, 1949, she married Roy Geyer at St. Patrick’s Church in Collis, MN. They farmed near Collis until 1958 when they moved to Little Falls, Minnesota. They also lived in Moorhead, Minnesota from 1971 until 1975. Helen was a full-time homemaker until 1975, when she started to do childcare in her home, which she did until 1989 when she and Roy both retired. Roy passed away on November 9, 1998.
Helen was a member of Christian Mothers, Daughters of Isabella, and a longtime member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
Helen was a quiet person who loved her husband, children, and her Catholic faith. She will be remembered for her helpful nature, homemade baked goods, her flower gardens and her life of prayer for all of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Bruce Geyer and wife Gail, Craig Geyer and wife Louise, Michelle Jorgenson and husband Terry, Pamela Geyer, and Roxanne Kennedy and husband Doug; 16 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Roy. She came from a family of 12 and was preceded in death by all of her sisters, brothers, and their spouses.
