Helen M. Hansen

Helen M. Hansen, 89 year old, longtime resident of Little Falls, MN, died Friday, October 20, 2006, at the Lutheran Care Center in Little Falls. Helen Marie White was born on October 17, 1917 in Glenwood, MN, to the late George & mary (Palmquist) White. Helen married Jens Hansen on April 4, 1947. She loved to do crafts and sewing. She made many quilts for her family and others. Helen would bake for weeks before the Christmas holidays and give most of it away to friends and family. Helen was a member of Eastern Star and Sons of Norway for many years. She will be missed by many. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jens Hansen (January 14, 2005). Survivors include her daughter, Gina M. Zylla of Plymouth; son, Louis R. Hansen (Joyce) of New Brighton; grandchildren, Susan Schank (John) of Anoka; Nancy Kern (Donald) of Scandia; Betsy Zylla of Eden Prairie and Kari Zylla of New York, NY; great grandchildren, Zachary Baum of Anoka and Makenna Schank of Anoka and sister, Lottie Johnson of Little Falls. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Cushing, MN, with Rev. Jennifer Wilson officiating. Interment will be in the Cushing Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 a" 7:00 P.M. Monday, October 23, 2006 at Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service (West Chapel) in Little Falls, MN. Visitation will continue at the church on Tuesday one hour prior to the service. Casket bearers will be Bucky Simonet, John Schank, Mel Norvell, Dennis Brausen and Don Kern.
