Irene F. Kowitz

Irene F. Kowitz, age 73, of Clear Lake, MN and Mesa, AZ, formerly of Little Rock, MN, died November 21, 2006 in Mesa, AZ. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Buckman, with Fr. Raymond Donnay and Fr. Gerald Dalseth officiating. Visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at St. Michael's Cemetery. Irene was born on March 18, 1933 in Belgrade, MN. She married Kenneth F. Kowitz in St. Cloud, MN on June 22, 1957. She and Ken owned and operated Kowitz Trucking out of their Little Rock home from 1957 until retirement in 1995. They lived a few years in the Cross Lake area before moving to Mesa and Clear Lake. Irene is survived by her husband of 49 years, Kenneth of Clear Lake, MN; son, Kevin (Rose) Kowitz of Sauk Rapids, MN; daughters, Kim (Steve) Will of Edina, MN, Coleen McNally of Foothill Ranch, CA, Susan Kowitz of Geneva, Switzerland, and Kris Jore of Zimmerman, MN; grandchildren, Hannah, Stephen, Samuel, Kate, Erin, and Anne; 3 sisters, 7 brothers, numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends. Irene is preceded in death by her parents, Ole & Alice Tharaldson; and her son, Keith.
