Irene I. Dockendorf

Irene Dockendorf, resident of Little Falls, MN passed away on Friday, August 18, 2017 at St. Ottos Care Center in Little Falls. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1 PM at St. Ottos Care Center Chapel on Tuesday, August 22. A visitaion will be held one hour prior to the service at St. Ottos. Burial will be at St. Stanislaus Parish Cemetery in Bowlus, MN.

Irene Kupka was born on September 2, 1922 in Little Falls to Cecelia and Edward Kupka. She graduated with the class of 1941 from Little Falls Community High School. She was united in marriage to Edward Knoll, and the couple farmed for 30 years in Swan River Township until Edwards passing in 1983. Irene moved back to Little Falls and was united in marriage to Florian Dockendorf. She worked at Lik-Nu Cleaners for 10 years and at Munsingwear for 19 years. She also volunteered at the Morrison County Foodshelf for 13 years and at Brotts Boarding House for 13 years. Irene enjoyed playing cards, bingo, sewing and going to the casino. She will be remembered for her wonderful cooking abilities. Irene was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, the VFW, and the Legion.

Irene is survived by her children, Joyce (Louie Brott) Anderson of Little Falls, MN, David Knoll of Little Falls, MN, Mary Freudenrich of Little Falls, MN; grandchildren, Susan Mattison, Jody Anderson, Jesse Freudenrich, Wendy Sweeney, Amy Jury, Jolene Archer; great-grandchildren, Logan Freudenrich, Alex Archer, Ellen Archer, Axel Mattison; special friend, George Matros; and many nieces nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; brother, George Kupka; sister, Eleanor Witucki; and infant sister, Evelyn Kupka.
