James Gavigan

James Eugene Gavigan, 87 year old resident of South St. Paul, MN died Saturday, October 28 at Woodwinds Hospital in Woodbury, MN.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. at Our lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Little Falls on Tuesday, November 7.  

James Eugene Gavigan was born on June 28, 1936 in Milwaukee, WI the son of Eugene and Lillian (Schaffer) Gavigan. James lived in various places across the United States and overseas including the Middle East and Europe.  He was transferred from Washington, DC to Minneapolis in 1969.  We was united in marriage to Deanne Vaverek on August 25, 1973. The couple lived all of their married life in the West St. Paul and South St. Paul area.

James was preceded in death by his wife, Deanne on March 21, 2009; parents, Eugene and Lillian Gavigan and his step-father, Col. Lawrence A. Robbins.
