James "Jim" A. Brill

James Jim Brill, 60-year-old resident of Little Falls, MN passed away Friday, June 2 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 7 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Marys Catholic Church in Little Falls with Father Joseph Herzing officiating. A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, June 6 and from 9:15 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service. The burial will be held at Holy Family Catholic Cemetery. A Parish Prayer will be said at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

James Allen Brill was born June 6, 1956 in Little Falls to Duane and Florentine (Woitalla) Brill. He was raised in Little Falls where he attended and graduated from Little Falls Community High School. He attended Vo-Tech and received his Auto Technician diploma. Jim was united in marriage to Julie Schlichting on August 12, 1978 at Holy Family Catholic Church Belle Prairie. The couple made their home in Little Falls for 38 years. Jim worked at Bobs Garage, Swasers Garage, Youngberg Chevrolet, Peter Motor Co., Falls GM and most recently 1st Avenue Auto. Jim thoroughly enjoyed living and making the most of each day. He loved sunshine. Jim played with his grandkids, whether with the boys driving trucks, cars and tractors on the floor mat or in the sandbox with the girls playing daycare, feeding their babies and having tea parties. Jim was a kind, caring, gentle man. He was a hard worker, never complained and never quit until the job was done. Jim had a witty sense of humor for all to enjoy. Jims faith in our Lord and praying the Rosary was very important to him. He enjoyed mowing the lawn, camping and campfires, Hot Rods, Drag Racing, A Good Cup of Coffee with his loving wife, reading car magazines and parts catalogs, swap meets. His greatest enjoyment came when he was blessed with seven grandchildren. He loved his family to the fullest. He was a member of the MSRA.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Julie Brill of Little Falls; children, Adam James (Amanda) Brill of St. Joseph, Lisa Marie (Gregg) Kapsner of Little Falls, Angela Ann (Troy) Johnson of Rice; grandchildren, Ariel and Mason Brill, Talan, Bode and Brekk Kapsner, Sadie and Stella Johnson; mother, Florentine Brill of Little Falls; siblings, George (Sandy) Brill of Loveland, CO, Joe (Judy) Brill of Little Falls, Karen (Bruce) Petersen of Montrose, David (Kim) Brill of Fort Ripley and Mark Brill of Opole.

He was preceded in death by his father Duane Brill.
