James Zilka

James Joseph Zilka, 69 year old resident of Little Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 18 at his home. No services will be held at this time. 

James Joseph Zilka was born on September 13, 1956 in Little Falls, MN to the late Thomas and Clara (Zasmenta) Zilka. He grew up in Little Falls, where he attended Little Falls Community Schools. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Balaski in 1981 and the couple later divorced. He worked for Palmer Bus in Little Falls for several years and also owned his own lawn care company. James enjoyed fishing, wood working, working on cars and cutting grass. 

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Michael ( Julie) Zilka of Little Falls; siblings, Julie and Jim Stangl of Little Falls, Tom Zilka of Little Falls, Cathy Olson of Little Falls and Valerie Olson; grandchildren, Breanna, Brandon, Braden and Aubrey. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Michelle Zilka-Fink; sisters, Theresa Lindberg; Mary LaPorte, Dolores Zilka, Helen Zilka, Donna Slettom and a brother, John Zilka.
