Jeanne Andersen

Jeanne Marie (Eckblad) Andersen passed away peacefully at her home in Lake Crystal, MN on December 24th, 2022 at the age of 84. Jeanne was born March 6th, 1938 to the late Rudolph and Marie Eckblad in rural Cushing, MN. The Eckblad's were devout members of the Cushing Baptist Church. As a young girl, Jeanne sang in the church choir while her mother (Marie) played the organ for Sunday service. Jeanne attended school in Little Falls, MN; this is where she met Alan Mohler. On October 15th, 1954 Jeanne married Alan. They raised seven children and were later divorced. Jeanne was an AMAZING cook. In addition to being a homemaker and mother, Jeanne often worked for small town cafes as a cook. Jeanne also enjoyed spending time in her garden, canning, sewing, music, and garage sales.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Robin Young, Kathy Mohler, Barb Samson, Brenda (Brian) Grater, Greg (Roberta) Mohler, Michelle (John) LeBlanc, Jenalle (Ted) Hatch; thirteen grandchildren; many great grandchildren; Alan Mohler, and special friend Dennis Hernandez.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents’ Rudolph and Marie Eckblad; Verdell "Bud" Schmidt, Oscar Schmidt, Roger Andersen; great-grand daughter, Emma Paul-Thieman, and son-in-law Ken Samson.

Rest in peace mom. You will be missed.

A celebration of life and family gathering will be held at a later date.
