Jewell M. Ramsey

Jewell Ramsey, age 77, of Little Falls, MN, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at the St. Cloud Hospital from injuries received in an automobile accident in February.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2016, at First Baptist Church in Little Falls, MN, with Rev. Steve Priola officiating. Burial will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.

Jewell Margreat Dearborn was born on July 19, 1938 in Park Rapids, Minnesota the daughter of Truman Helen (Hinton) Dearborn. She grew up in the Park Rapids area and graduated from Park Rapids High School. After her schooling, she went to the state of Washington where her brothers lived and worked at a canning factory. She returned to Minnesota and married Robert Ramsey in 1964. Jewell worked for Larson Boats, Munsingwear, Camp Ripley and became the food manager of the Little Falls Senior Center. She enjoyed flower gardening, taking photos of anything and everything, getting together with family for holidays and special occasions, and eating out. She loved her husband, children, grandchildren and her cat, Buddy. Jewell had a very strong faith and was a member of First Baptist Church in Little Falls.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Roy Ramsey of Albany, MN, and Mark (Sherry) Ramsey of Sobieski, MN; step children, Raymond Ramsey of Great Falls, MT, and Bonnie Anderson of Great Falls, MT; brothers, Dan Dearborn of Little Falls, MN, and Jim Dearborn of Vancouver, WA; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.

Jewell was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Bob Ramsey (Nov. 5, 2015) and a brother, George Dearborn.
