John A. Jack Veith, 56, of Eagan formerly of Little Falls, died October 13, 2017. A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 18, 2018 at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls. Father Joseph Herzing will officiate and burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home in Little Falls.

John Arthur Veith was born on May 16, 1961 in Little Falls, Minnesota, the son of Louis A. and Mildred H. (Preimesberger) Veith. He grew up in Pierz, Minnesota, attended St. Josephs Catholic Grade School and later graduated from Healy Senior High School in 1979. Jack joined the Air Force on January 28, 1980 where he became a helicopter mechanic. He was honorably discharged on July 18, 1983.

Jack was living on his hobby farm in Morris, Minnesota and working for Energy Miser Grain Dryers based out of Sioux Falls, SD in charge of on-site grain drying equipment in November 1995, when suddenly he had a stroke. It was a life changing event for him and as a result Jack was paralyzed on his left side. His doctor at the time informed him that he may not be able to walk again but after intense therapy he was able to achieve that goal.

It was during that time when he was physically brought to his knees that he surrendered himself to the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. This began his Christian journey to theological studies. Jack received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Theology from Crown College, St. Bonifacius, Minnesota in 2001 where he was elected to Crown College Student Council Senate 1999- 2000. Following that, he earned a Masters Degree in Psychology from St. Cloud State in 2003.

After achieving degrees in Psychology and Theology, Jack had several positions working as a QRC, (Qualified Rehabilitation Consultant) as well as a CRC (Commission Rehabilitation Counselor). He was living in Eagan, Minnesota at the time of his death and was employed by CompAlliance, as a QRC, CRC Consultant, located in Merriam, Kansas. Jack was their sole QRC, CRC Vocational Consultant who lived in the Minneapolis area, working with employers and their injured employees to counsel them so they could return to work.

Despite all the physical limitations and difficult challenges Jack faced, through his spiritual journey and relentless perseverance he worked hard to conquer them all. Jack will live on in the inspiration he gave us for showing us how to live each day with courage, strength, laughter and a colorful zest for life regardless of what life throws our way.

Rest in heavenly paradise. Until we meet again.

Jack is survived by his siblings, Ron (Michelle) Veith of Eden Prairie, Romelle (Chuck) Carlson of Lake Kabetogama, Sharon (Bud) Becker of Zimmerman, Cindy (Dave) Kaiser of Eden Prairie, Debbie (Dick) Palmen of Woodbury, Maxine Veith of New Hope; nieces and nephews, Bob (Darcey) Jamma of Pierz, Rhonda (John) Atchley of Forest Lake, Vicky Becker of Minneapolis, Bob (Erin) Becker of Ramsey, Chuck Becker of Minneapolis, Jackie Becker of Minneapolis, Stuart (Melissa) Zimmermann of Minnetrista and Andrea Veith of Edina.
