John H. Langer

John H. Langer, age 59, of St. Cloud, MN, died Friday, May 18, 2007 at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz, MN, with Rev. Gerald Dalseth officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a" 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday at the church. Interment with military honors will be the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls, MN. John Herbert Langer was born on March 20, 1948 in Little Falls, Minnesota the son of Carl & Martha (Koll) Langer. He grew up on a farm in Agram Township, Morrison County, Minnesota. He graduated from Pierz High School in 1968. He then joined the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War. Following the service, he took over the family farm for seven years and then worked at Fingerhut until it closed. John enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. He was active in the American Legion and his church. Survivors include his children; John Langer of Rice, MN, and Tina (Brian) Jones of Monticello MN; grandson, Jason Jones of Monticello, MN; siblings, Jerome (Pat) Langer of Sartell, MN, Cathy (Jim) Paquin of Somerset, WI, Mary Langer of Brainerd, MN, and Gerard Langer of St. Cloud, MN, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl (Dec. 31, 1998) & Martha (Jan. 28, 2003) Langer; brother Lawrence (Feb. 1971) and sister, Teresa (June 1960).
