Joyce Marie Bzdok

Joyce Marie Bzdok, 86, of rural Little Falls, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at her home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 21 at 11:30 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN with Father Joseph Herzing officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30-11:30 AM at the church on Saturday.

Joyce was born February 2, 1932 to George and Emma (Schwandt) Ryden in Swanville Township. She graduated from Upsala High School. She married Joseph Joe Bzdok on September 17, 1962 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Little Falls. The couple made their home in Swan River Township for over 50 years. Joyce began working for Northwestern Bell as a telephone operator in Little Falls. After the company was acquired by ATT, she continued her work at facilities in St. Cloud, Rochester and Duluth for 45 years before retiring to the family farm where she resided until her passing. Joyce enjoyed reading and gaining new knowledge. She was a history buff at heart and had a love of flowers. Joyce was incredibly kind and humble; she always put the needs of others before herself.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Dan (Karen) Bzdok of Silver Bay, MN, Jackie Gaffke of Little Falls, MN, Tom (Marjorie) Bzdok of Little Falls, MN, Jim (Carin) Bzdok of Little Falls, MN, Tracy Bzdok of Little Falls, MN; sister, Sylvia Ryden; grandchildren, Angela (Steve) Hines, Aaron (Marlana) Gaffke, Ashley Shackle, Aimee Bzdok, Kelsi Bzdok, Kala Bzdok, Austin Bzdok, Nick Gjemse, Heather Gjemse, Samantha Isack; great-grandchildren, Chase Hines, Benjamin Shackle and Jackson Shackle; sisters in law, Martha Woitalla, LaVerne Bzdok, Kathy Bzdok and brother in law, Don Klinkhammer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; sisters in law, Rosie Klinkhammer, Terry Welle; brothers in law, George Bzdok, Edward Bzdok, Ken Welle, Roman Woitalla; nephews, Bob Klinkhammer and Mark Woitalla.
