Larry Paul Moran, age 72 of Little Falls passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, November 3, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Belle Prairie with Mark Innocenti officiating. Interment will be in Holy Family Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Friday and from 9:00-10:00 A.M. Saturday at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service (East Chapel) in Little Falls. Parish prayers will be said at Friday evening at 5:00 P.M. at the funeral chapel. Larry P. Moran was born October 20, 1935 in Little Falls, Morrison County, MN to the late Paul & Monica (Flansburg) Moran. He grew up on a farm in Belle Prairie Township. Larry attended and graduated from Little Falls High School with the Class of 1953. Following his schooling, he entered the National Guard. On May 2, 1957 he entered the United States Army and after serving two years in Korea he received an Honorable Discharge on April 29, 1960. From 1960 to1961, he worked in Pontiac, MI for General Motors. From 1961 to 1965 he had a milk route and later drove truck for Larson Boats. Larry then worked for the State of Minnesota as a security guard at Camp Ripley for 25 years, retiring in 2001. He was united in marriage to Joyce Erdman on April 8, 1967 at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Minneapolis. Following their marriage the couple lived on a farm north of Little Falls in Belle Prairie Township. Larry enjoyed cribbage, reading, fishing, auctions, watching the Minnesota Twins and especially enjoyed Sunday evening dinners with his family. Larry is survived by his wife, Joyce; daughters and sons, Claudette Moran of Little Falls, MN, Philip Moran & wife, Stacy, of Pine River, MN, Mark Moran & special friend, Tana Lucero, of Denver, CO, Edward Moran & wife, Stacey, of Little Falls, MN, Matthew Moran & wife, Jenelle of St. Cloud, MN, Roseanne Throener & husband, Adrian, of Flensburg, MN, Theresa Moran of Little Falls, MN and Stephen Moran of New Brighton, MN; brothers, David Moran & wife, Anna, of Eden Valley, MN, Dennis Moran of Superior, WI; sisters, Loretta Moran of Little Falls, MN, and Diane Ring & husband, Peter, of Little Falls, MN and 11 grandchildren. Casketbearers are his sons; Philip, Mark, Edward, Matthew & Stephen and a grandson, Dylan Moran.
