Leonard Ray Kropuenske

Leonard Kropuenske, 84 year old resident of Royalton, MN formerly of Little Falls, MN, died Thursday, May 14 at Riverside Assistant Living Center.A funeral service will be held Monday, May 18 at 1:00 P.M. at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls, MN with Bob Mueller officiating.A visitation will be held on Monday from 11:00 AM until the hour of the service at the funeral home. The burial will be held at a later date.

Leonard Ray Kropuenske was born June 26 1930 in Lennox, South Dakota to the late Otto and Ella Mae (Bendert) Kropuenske.He grew up and attended school in South Dakota as a young boy.He was united in marriage to Elaine Terrell on June 10, 1949 in South Dakota, the couple later divorced.Leonard was a truck driver for Larson Boats in Little Falls for several years.He owned and operated Lens Auction Service in Little Falls for a few years.He also had the love of farming which he did for many years. Len enjoyed fishing, car shows, parades and going to auctions.He was a member of the Lone Eagle Auto Car Club. He enjoyed driving a 1966 Chevrolet Corvair in parades.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Beverly (Ed) Meyer of Brainerd, MN, Wesley (Susan) Kropuenske of Olympia, WA, Nancy Thoene of Pipestone, MN, Kimberly (Robert) Aspholm of Brainerd, MN, Theresa (Pat) Frericks of Grove City, MN and Teri Ann (Robert) Walz of San Antonio, TX; The love of his life of 26 years, Mary Lee Schwagel of Little Falls, MN; siblings, Howard (Julie) Kropuenske of Motley, MN and Ellen LeBlanc of Little Falls, MN; 20 grandchildren and 30 plus great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Ella Kropuenske; son, Dennis Kropuenske; granddaughter, Elizabeth Thoene; siblings, Oliver Kropuenske, Russell Kropuenske; nephew, Howard David Kropuenske and a brother-in-law, Duane LeBlanc.

The honorary casket bearers will be: Kyle Aspholm, Cole Aspholm, Jacob Frericks, Jordan Frericks, John Meyer, David Meyer, Danny Meyer, Jeremy Kropuenske, Jason Kropuenske, Greg Borgstrom and Fred Thoene.
