Lorraine Boser

Lorraine A. Boser, 95 year old resident of Pierz, MN, formerly of Lastrup, MN, died Sunday, May 25 at Meadow Ponds Assisted Living in Pierz, MN.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 28 at 10:30 A.M. at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church in Lastrup, MN, with Father David Maciej officiating. The burial will be held in St. Johns Nepomuk Catholic Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 27 at the Emblom Brenny Funeral Service and from 8:30 until 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home on Wednesday. A rosary will be said at 4:30 PM followed by the parish prayers at 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home on Tuesday evening.

Lorraine A. Schraut was born February 7, 1919 in Hillman Township, Morrison County, Minnesota to the Nicholas and Agnes (Joa) Schraut. She attended school until the 8th grade. Lorraine was united in marriage to Herbert Boser on September 27, 1938 at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Pierz, MN. The couple made their home in Lastrup, MN, where she worked as a farm wife. Lorraine was loving mother who had to endure many hardships while caring for her son, Randy who was deaf and blind. She had a special place in her heart fro children with special needs. Lorraine was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and the Christian Mothers. Lorraine loved to play cards, go bowling and dance to old-time music. Lorraine was an avid gardener, tending to both flowers and vegetables; she also loved to read and made beautiful handmade quilts. She was a very talented woman and loved to share her talents with her children and grandchildren. In her later years she loved to paint sun catchers and give them to family and friends before they would leave from visiting with her.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Ronald (Mary) Boser of Hillman, MN, Roger (Mary Lou) Boser of York, PA, Roy (Bonnie) Boser of Pierz, MN, Randy Boser of Randall, MN and Ruth (Raymond) Westre of Little Falls, MN; grandchildren, Doug (Anne) Boser, Steve (Melissa) Boser, Jon (Michelle) Boser, CherylBenjamin, Brenda Cash, Karen (Corey) Hayes, Brian (Denise) Boser, Katie Boser, Curtis Boser, Jason (Kelly) Westre, Jen (Steve) Doucette; great-grandchildren, Aaron Boser, Andrew Boser, Alex Boser, Ethan Nagel and Devon Nagel; William Boser, Nathan Boser and Natalie Boser, Dakota Sullivan, Christina Benjamin and Becca Benjmain, Dylan Cash and Taylor Cash, Samantha Hayes, Ethan Hayes and Ty Hayes, Emily BoserMorgan Westre and Katelyn Westre, Brittany Doucette, Chandler Doucette and Reagan Doucette; sister-in-laws, Katie Boser of Pierz, MN and Maye Schraut of St. Cloud, MN and her family at Meadow Ponds.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Agnes and Nicholas Schraut, husband, Herbert M. Boser, infant son, Harry Boser sisters, Leonilla Lust, Lenora Jendro; brothers, Leo Schraut and Leonard Schraut.
