Lou Ann Bleichner

Lou Ann Bleichner, 67 year old resident of Pierz, MN, died on Monday, November 16 at Essentia Hospital in Brainerd, MN. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 22 at 4:00 P.M. at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz, MN. A visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. on Sunday at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz, MN. A private family burial will be held at a later date.

Lou Ann Bleichner was born February 22, 1948 in Cresco, Iowa to the late Amos and Shirley (Foster) Eastman. She grew up and attended school in Iowa. She graduated from Prairie Community High School in Gowers County, IA in 1966. Lou Ann was united in marriage to William J. Bleichner on April 25, 1974 in New York. The couple lived in various states until moving to Hillman, MN, in 1975. Lou Ann worked as a cook for various restaurants and bars. She was known as the Best Damn Cook Around. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning house, flowers, garage sales, reading books, watching TVand spending time with her grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jamie (Paula) Adler and their children, Kistyn, Kayla and Zack of Hillman, MN, Melissa (John) Blaisdell and their children, Miranda and Michael of Pierz, MN, Sarah (Richard Hammerstad) McGrath and their children, Joseph and Megan of Princeton, MN and Roger Bleichner and his son, Timothy Plumski of Hillman, MN; brother, Charlie Eastman and his children, Jeanette, Jessica and Jennifer of California; brother-in-law, Corky Ball and his children, Tracey and Jerri Jo of Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Shirley Eastman; husband, William Bleichner;sisters, Gloria Jean Eastman, Tobi Ball and aunts and uncles.
