Madeline Brenny was born on April 29, 1942, in Graham Township, Benton County, Minnesota to the late Roman and Josephine (Ratke) Brenny. Her twin sister Peggy (Mary) and she were born on the family farm. For many years, Madeline had everyone convinced that she was baby A (first-born) and was proud to announce that she was in charge when her parents were out. In a recent discovery, we learned that she was indeed Baby B, the younger sister. She attended grade school in Gilman and graduated from Foley High School with the class of 1960. Her twin sister and she kept everyone on their toes as they would often switch places including classes and boyfriends. Madeline attended Anoka Ramsey Technical College and received a degree in Accounting. Madeline was united in marriage to Duane Jedlicki on October 22, 1962 and had two children Mark and Linda. After her annulment, she then married George Moren on July 24, 1987, in Fridley, MN. The couple made their home in Hillman, MN. They took pride in hosting many family celebrations. Madeline worked in Healthcare for much of her life. After George's passing on August 18th, 2004, Madeline made her home in Pierz, MN. Madeline enjoyed being a Foster Grandparent for 15 years at Pioneer Elementary School. It was said that she was able to fill her dream of being a math teacher as she helped students. She was very dedicated to this program and rarely missed a day. She also enjoyed sewing, baking, and being around people. She was a member of the St. Rita's Christian Women and the Fridley VFW.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Mark (Linda) Jedlicki of California and Linda (Lee) Olesen of Arizona; grandchildren, Chase, Monika, Miki, Jenna, and Brody; siblings, twin sister, Mary "Peggy" Shimanek of Kansas, Elizabeth "Betty" (Gerald) Sullivan of Prior Lake, Joseph Brenny of Washington, Tim (Jane) Brenny of Ham Lake, Duane (Mona) Brenny of Rice; in-laws, Mary Brenny of Rice, Richard Voss of Colorado and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
