Margaret Boyle

Margaret Mary Boyle, 87 year old resident of Little Falls, MN died Friday June 29, at her home in Little Falls, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, July 9 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN with Rev. Nick Landsberger officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 PM on Sunday, July 8 at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service East Chapel and from 9:30-10:30 AM on Monday at the funeral chapel. Rosary will be said at 5:30 PM followed by Parish Prayers at 7:00 PM on Sunday, July 8 at the funeral chapel. Margaret was born December 29, 1919 in Choteau, MT to the late Frank and Margaret (Kutchke) Young. She grew up and attended school in Choteau, MT. Margaret attended Pacific University in Oregon, Lutheran Deaconess College in Great Falls, MT; she received her Public Health Degree through the University of Minnesota Medical School. Margaret was united in marriage to Charles Boyle on November 30, 1946 at the Log Chapel at Notre Dame before the University of Southern California and Notre Dame Football game. The couple resided in Little Falls, MN, Margaret worked in Public Health in Crow Wing and Morrison Counties for 17 years. She was also very instrumental in getting the anti-pornography law passed speaking in in-front of legislation. Charles passed away on July 23, 1993; Margaret continued living in Little Falls until her death. Margaret was very active with Birth Right, Catholic Diocesan Nurses Association, Little Falls Library Board, 3rd Order Franciscans, and she made Cursilliasta at a Cursillo Retreat. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Little Falls, MN. She enjoyed drawing, picking berries and agates, ice skating and photography. Margaret Boyle is survived by her daughters, Beth Medin and husband, Carl of Fifty Lakes, MN, Kathleen Ann Boyle and special friend, Vern Luebeck of Ham Lake, MN, Mary Hirsch of Little Falls, MN; grandchildren, Chris Hirsch and wife, Heather of Little Falls, MN, Maria Medin of St. Paul, MN, Shane Medin of Fifty Lakes, MN, LaDieh Rosenthal and husband, Chris of Farmington, MN, Amy Luebeck of New Jersey; great-grandchildren, Tyler Vest of Little Falls, MN, Gage, Amber and Carson Rosenthal of Farmington, MN; sister-in-law, Betty Boyle of Atlanta, GA and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Boyle; brother, Dick Young; sister, Erma Gagle and many brother and sister-in-laws.
