Margo A. Tiemann

Mar 3, 1939 — Sep 9, 2026

March 3, 1939 – September 9, 2026

Margo A (Sundstrom) Tiemann, 87, passed away peacefully on September 9th, 2026. Born March 3, 1939, in Little Falls, Minnesota, to Conrad and Stella Sundstrom, Margo lived a life centered on family, home, and the simple, familiar routines she treasured. She married Rodney Tiemann on September 29, 1962, and together they raised four children: Renee (Steve) Hanson, Jeff (Cindy), Patrick (Joan), and Bill (Julie).

During her children’s school years, Margo was employed by CenturyLink in Little Falls as a switchboard operator. She was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity’s Christian Mothers in Royalton, where she valued community and tradition. Margo took great pride in her family, who were a constant source of quiet joy for her.

After retirement, Margo spent her time baking pies, gardening, and visiting with family and friends in the gazebo during the summer or the gathering room in the winter. Though she was a private and reserved person, those closest to her valued her steady presence, practical nature, and quiet smile.

Left to cherish her memory are her four children; her brother, John (Sharon) Sundstrom; her sister-in-law, Tamsie Sundstrom; 10 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rod; her parents; her brother, Allan Sundstrom; and her sister, Karen Karnowski.

Her family would like to express sincere gratitude to everyone at Riverside Assisted Living and Moments Hospice. Their gentle care, constant kindness, and genuine compassion meant the world to Margo and made her last year peaceful. You were truly a blessing to her family.

In keeping with Margo’s wishes, there will be no public services. Her immediate family will lay her to rest beside her husband, Rod, at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in Royalton at a later date. The family warmly invites friends to reach out to them directly to share favorite memories, offer condolences, and honor her life.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the future.  Please check back for service details.
