Marie F. Wacker

Marie F. Wacker, age 95 of Pierz, MN passed away Thursday, December 13, 2007 at the Pierz Villa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Sunday, December 16, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Bulldog Lake, MN. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 AM-1:00 P.M. Sunday, December 16, 2007, at Pierz Villa in Pierz. Marie F. Wacker was born January 2, 1912 in St. Cloud, Stearns County, MN to the late Joseph & Angeline (Sand) Hiemenz. At an early age, she moved to Buckman with her family and attended school there. She was united in marriage to Mathew Wacker on April 30, 1935 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Buckman, MN. Following their marriage, Marie & Mathew lived in Morrill from 1935-1938 and then moved to Hannah Lake in Richardson Township, Morrison County, MN. Mathew died, May 13, 1979. After her husband's death, Marie moved to the City of Pierz. On July 15, 1992, she became a resident of the Pierz Villa where she resided until her death. Marie enjoyed baking bread, quilting, cooking, reading and raising chickens. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and St. Elizabeth's Council, both of Bulldog Lake, and the Adult Leisure Club of Hillman, MN. Marie is survived by sons & daughters, Rose Hoffman of Hillman, MN, Roman Wacker of Two Harbors, MN, Bernice Banick of Harding, MN, Leonard Wacker & wife, Gail, of Aitkin, MN, Delores Meyer & husband, Dick, of Blackduck, MN, James Wacker & wife, Brenda, of Brainerd, MN, Kenneth Wacker of Rush City, MN, Joann Boser & husband, Duane, of Hillman, MN, Joseph Wacker, of Pierz, MN, Dennis Wacker & wife, Patty, of Pierz, MN & Brian Wacker & wife, Carol, of Pierz, MN; son-in-law, Richard Stauffeneker of Hillman, MN; brothers, Victor Hiemenz of Little Falls, MN & Edward Hiemenz of Clear Lake, MN; sister, Leona Juetten of Brainerd, MN; 32 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mathew; daughter, Alice Stauffeneker; infant son, Richard Wacker; sisters, Alma Hiemenz, Clara Schmolke & Eleanor Loscheider; brothers, Alfred Hiemenz, Lawrence Hiemenz, Herman Hiemenz, Emil Hiemenz & Raymond Hiemenz; daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Wacker; sons-in-law, Duane Hoffman & Jerald Banick. Casketbearers are Marie's sons, Roman, Leonard, James, Kenneth, Joseph, Dennis & Brian Wacker.
