Mark M. Scepurek

Mark M. Scepurek, age 72, of Little Falls, MN, passed away Monday, December 4, 2006, at his home in Pike Creek Township, Morrison County, MN. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 A.M. (tentative) Saturday, December 9, 2006 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls with Fr. Mark Innocenti officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday, at the church. Interment will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday in St. James Catholic Cemetery in Randall, MN. Mark M. Scepurek was born on February 12, 1934 in Swan River Township, Morrison County, Minnesota to the late Frank & Mary (Maciej) Scepurek. He grew up on a small farm in Swan River Township north of Bowlus and attended country school. He was united in marriage to Molly Ligman on July 20, 1953 at St. Adalbert's Catholic Church in Little Falls. The couple made their home in the Randall and Little Falls area before moving to Wisconsin where they lived for a number of years and then returning to Little Falls. The couple later divorced. Mark was employed at Larson Boat Works in Little Falls for 13 years and Hennepin Paper Mill for 29 years. He retired from the paper mill in 1996. Mark enjoyed outside labor including gardening, mowing lawn, hobby farming and cutting/splitting wood. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, baking bread and playing cards. He attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls. Left to cherish his memory are his children, John (Kathy) Scepurek of Jacksonville, NC and Dan (Patti) Scepurek of Little Falls, MN and Rick Vadnais of Little Falls; grandchildren, Jesse (Katy) Scepurek, Adam (Elizabeth) Scepurek, Justin (Steph) Lewis, Sherry (Scott) Tschida and Vanessa Lewis; great-grandchildren, Luke, Reagan, Katelyn and Dominic Scepurek and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank & Mary (Maciej) Scepurek, infant son, Richard; infant daughter, Julie Ann; granddaughter, April Scepurek and siblings, William "Bill" Scepurek, Leon "Leo" Scepurek, George Scepurek, Peter "Pete" Scepurek, Clara Schatza, Matilda "Tillie" Koerner and Leonard Scepurek.
