Mary Galbreath, age 71 of Brainerd, MN died Tuesday, June 27 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, MN surrounded by her family. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 1 at 2:00 P.M. at Lakeview Community Church in Hillman, MN with Pastor Paul Osborne officiating. The burial will be held at Lakeview Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 30 from 4:00 P.M.- 8:00 P.M. at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz, MN and on Saturday from 1:00 P.M.- 2:00 P.M. at the church.
Mary Louise Hettver was born on July 8, 1945 in Brainerd, MN to Antone Tony and Rose (Smude) Hettver. She attended country school and graduated from Brainerd High School. She was united in marriage to Mark Galbreath on February 8, 1964 at Lakeview Community Church in Hillman, MN. The couple later divorced. Mary worked as a dietary aide at the Onamia Hospital for over 20 years. She enjoyed quilting with her quilting club and listening to country gospel music. Mary also enjoyed spending quality time with her brother Jim and his significant other, Colleen. Her passion was her grandchildren and great-grandchild that she was so very proud of. Mary had a strong faith and was an active member of Lakeview Community Church.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Sheila (Tim) Brummer of Little Falls, Roger (Robyn) Galbreath of Pierz; grandchildren, Brittany Brummer of Little Falls, Brianna (Josh) Jirasek of Paynesville, Brichelle Brummer of Little Falls, Mark Galbreath of Pierz, Shelby Galbreath of Pierz; great-granddaughter, Leah Jirasek; brother, Jim (Colleen) Hettver of Brainerd; and sister, Doreen Banick of Brainerd.
She was preceeded in death by her parents.
