Mary Lou Krause, age 76, of Little Falls, MN died Friday, January 12, 2007 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls, MN, with Fr. Mark Innocenti & Father Glen Loegering con-celebrating. Friends and relatives may call on Monday, January 15, 2007 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. at the Emblom Brenny Funeral Service (West Chapel). Christian Mothers, Mission Circle & Our Lady of Lourdes Quilters will pray a rosary at 5:00 P.M. Monday evening followed by Parish Prayers at 6:30. Interment will be in the MN State Veterans Cemetery. Mary was born on April 15, 1930 in Harris, MO to Robert Dennis and Dolly Yardley. As a child she grew up and attended school around Milan, MO. After her schooling, Mary Lou moved and worked in Chicago, IL. There she met and was united in marriage to William Krause on January 2, 1951. The couple moved to Colorado Springs, Co, Columbus, GA, and to Germany where William was stationed in the Army. Mary Lou and William returned to the states and moved to Hawaii for three years. William retired from service in 1966 and the couple returned to the main land and moved to Little Falls. Over the years, Mary Lou worked as a telephone operator, as a sales clerk and at Munsingwear in Little Falls. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls, Christian Mothers, O.L.O.L. Mission Circle O.L.O.L. quilting group, Little Falls American Legion Auxiliary, Little Falls VFW Auxiliary, and Degree of Honors Society. Mary was caring a very kind person, looked out for others and loved spending time and visiting with her grandchildren. She enjoyed quilting, bowling and was on a championship bowling team while in Hawaii, going to the casino, and traveling. Mary is survived by her husband, William of Little Falls, MN; son, Michael & wife Joan, of Grand Forks, ND; brothers, Joseph McCarty & wife, Carolyn, of Green County, MO; Michael McCarty & wife, Sandra, of Moberly, MO; John McCarty & wife, Judy, of Green County, MO; sisters, Pat Pickett & husband, Bill, of Green County, MO; Kathy Powelson & husband, Bob, of Paradise Valley, AZ, Jane Kolpak of Scottsdale, AZ and grandchildren, Matthew and wife, Laura, Timothy, Jeffrey, Catherine and Patrick Krause. Mary is preceded in death by her parents.
