Melvin Stuckmayer

Melvin M. Stuckmayer, 89-year-old resident of Pierz, MN died Sunday, July 21 at his home with his loving family by his side. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 25 at 10:30 A.M. St. Johns Nepomuk Catholic Church in Lastrup with Father David Maciej officiating. The burial will be held in the parish cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz and from 8:30-9:45 A.M. on Thursday morning at the funeral home in Pierz. A parish prayer will be said at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Melvin M. Stuckmayer was born on April 26, 1930 in Buh Township, Morrison County, Minnesota to the late Matt and Barbara (Faust) Stuckmayer. He attended District #92 country school up through the 8th grade. He received a certificate for his perfect attendance. He was united in marriage to Stella Woitalla on November 24, 1960 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Harding, MN. The couple made their home in Buh Township where they farmed for over fifty years. In his earlier years he loved to go fishing, until his farm became his life, which he loved. It put a smile on his face when people would tell him how straight his corn rows were. Melvin enjoyed doing field work, going for Sunday drives to check the crops, playing cards, and spending time with his family. He was known for his many creative talents including carpentry, fabricating with steel, and building farm wagons. He loved the challenge of fixing anything that was broken. Melvin was a member of St. Johns Nepomuk Catholic Church in Lastrup, MN. His family will remember him as a loving, kind and caring man.

Remembering a life welllived is his wife, Stella of Pierz, children, Mike (Nancy) Stuckmayer of Dayton, Marie (Mike) Schaefer of Pierz, MN, Marjorie (Mike) Kahl of Rice, MN, Marne Stuckmayer of Pierz, MN, Marvin (Ruth) Stuckmayer of Pierz, MN, Marilyn (Ken) Dorn of Pierz, MN, Kevin (Natalie) Stuckmayer of Pierz, MN, Kimberly Katie (Ted) Kapsner of Pierz, MN, Krissy (Tom) Millner of Pierz, MN and Kurt Stuckmayer of Pierz, MN; siblings, Marilyn Flicker, Jeanette Schlegel; sister in-laws, Edna Stuckmayer, Patty Stuckmayer;26 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild due in August of 2019.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kara Stuckmayer; brothers, Matt, Gerald, and Clarence; sisters Emma Hoffman, Melvina Lust, Saraphine Loidolt and Delores Saehr; brother and sister-in-laws, Eddie Hoffman, Tony Lust, Leander Loidolt, Joe Schlegal, Donald Saehr,Lyle Flicker and Phyllis Stuckmayer.

The arrangements for Melvin are with Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz, MN.



In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
