Patricia Mae Horn, aged 79, passed away November 24, 2025 at Highland Senior Living in Little Falls where she resided for the last 3 years. Funeral services will be held December 13th, 2025 at 1:00pm at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Wadena, MN located at 625 3rd St. NW.
Patricia, known as Pat or Patty to some, was born April 28, 1946 in Ann Arbor, MI to Harold and Alyce Engelhart. The couple later moved to the Iron Range of Minnesota to raise their 4 girls. It was evident from a young age that Pat loved horses, animals of all kinds and had talent to draw and paint. She spent her school years in Babbit, MN, graduating from John F. Kennedy High School with the Class of 1964 followed by earning her Certificate of Cosmetology in 1965. She married Henry (Hank) Horn of Hewitt October 8, 1966 in Wadena, MN. They made many memories while being part of a saddle club during the early years of their marriage. Pat even learned to square dance while on horseback. Then came their first children, twins, Jerry and Terry followed by Jon, Alicia and Eric. They raised their 5 children in the rural areas around Bertha and Hewitt, MN. Throughout the years Pat worked as a hairdresser, CNA and Home Health Aide, including assisting in Hospice Care for which she had a special ability. Her clients and coworkers remember Pat for her warm, friendly, kind and compassionate personality. She expressed her creativity by woodworking and painting many items, notably her unique custom clocks and decorating cakes. She enjoyed gardening, especially flowers. Pat always appreciated the Creator of such beautiful things and was eager to study the Bible to learn more about Him. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in November 1972 and was part of the Wadena and then Little Falls Congregations and enjoyed talking to others about her faith. She will be missed by friends and family who will always remember her smile and friendliness to all.
Pat is survived by her children, Terry (Lynnetta) Horn of Enderlin, ND, Jon (Sarah) Horn of Little Falls, MN, Alicia Horn of Bertha, MN and Eric (Caitlyn) Horn of Manchester, IA and 8 grandchildren, Kallia, Dylan, Tyrel, Adelia, Jason, Ava, Damon, and Nora. And one sister Evelyn Klick of Virginia, MN.
She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Horn, son Jerry Horn, parents Harold and Alyce Engelhart, sisters Beverly Tikkanen and Penny Teeters.
