Little Falls

Peter "Pete" Kamrowski, 82 year old resident of Little Falls, died Monday, December 26 at the St. Cloud Hospital. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 5 at 1:00 P.M. at Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Little Falls.  A visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of the service on Thursday at the funeral home.  The burial will be held at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls, MN.

Peter Paul Kamrowski was born on March 29, 1940, in St. Cloud, Minnesota, to the late Peter and Marcella (Salaski) Kamrowski.  Pete attended school in Foley, MN.  He served his Country proudly in the United States Air Force from March 2, 1959, until his honorable discharge on January 11, 1963. Pete was united in marriage to Joyce Jindra on April 18, 1964, at St. Louis Church in Foreston, MN. Pete attended Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis, where he found his love of baking. He and Joyce owned and operated bakeries in Foley, Pierz, Long Prairie, and Little Falls for over thirty years. He was very accomplished baker receiving many awards over the years, ultimately achieving the status of Certified Master Baker.  He was President of the Minnesota Bakers Association and was a board member of the American Retail Bakers Association.  Throughout the years, Pete and Joyce traveled to many different places, including Russia and Poland, to teach his baking skills to others. He had many hobbies and interests, including: model trains, antique cars, stained glass, photography, and flower gardens. He was a member of the Lone Eagle Auto Club and the Little Falls American Legion Post #46.

 

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Joyce Kamrowski of Little Falls; daughters, Kim (Carl) Bot of Aberdeen, SD, Jody Kamrowski (Dean Maki) of CT and Paula (Bradley) Kamrowski-Poppen; grandchildren, Samantha (Blake) Perryman, Alina Maki, Ari Maki and Orion Kamrowski-Poppen; siblings, Joan (Franklin) Jindra of Foreston, MN; in-laws, Mary Lou White of Little Falls, Jean (Deb) Jindra of Hinckley, MN, Kenneth (Darlene) Jindra of Villages, FL, Bonnie Kamrowski of Foley, MN.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Marcella Kamrowski; brother, Thomas Kamrowski; nephew, Christopher Kamrowski and his beloved dog Sigmund.
