Raymond Joseph Cichon

Raymond Joseph Cichon, 90 year old resident of Little Falls, MN died Monday, August 20 at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls, MN. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 24 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Nick Landsberger officiating. Burial will be St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 PM on Thursday at the Emblom-Brenny Funeral Home East Chapel and from 9-10 AM on Friday at the funeral home. Parish Prayers will be said at 5:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Raymond was born August 4, 1917 in Swanville, MN to the late Joseph and Lillian (Wieneski) Cichon. He attended school and farmed in the Swanville area until moving to Silver Bay, MN 1953. Raymond was united in marriage to Clara Maciej on May 15, 1956 in Silver Bay, Lake County, MN. The couple resided in Silver Bay where Raymond worked construction building the taconite plants. In 1969, the couple moved back to Little Falls, MN where He worked for Larson Boats until retiring in 1975. Raymond enjoyed gardening, fishing, spending time with his friends and family. Raymond is survived by his wife, Clara Cichon; daughter, Margie Cichon; son, Jim Cichon and wife, Pam, all of Little Falls, MN; sister, Ester Cichon of Mississippi; grandchildren, Kenneth Cichon and wife, Jodi, of Sauk Centre, MN, Angela Cichon of Little Falls, MN, Amanda Cichon of Annandale, MN; step-grandchildren, Jason Blum and wife, Jessica of Little Falls, MN, Julie Phelps of San Fransisco, CA, Joshua Phelps of St. Cloud, MN, Johanna and Jasmine Phelps of Little Falls, MN; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Josiah, Mickey, Justice, Dallas and Dillion. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Andrew, Henry, Clarence and Steve; sister, Cecelia Cichon; granddaughter, Jennifer Phelps and great-grandson, Jimmy Cichon. Casketbearers will be Jason Blum, Joshua Phelps, John Grzybek, Mark Grzybek, Tim Maciej, Gary Maciej.
